A Blended Classroom
Zoom In is designed for classrooms with 1-to-1 computer access and lots of student-student and student-teacher interaction. Each unit follows an arc that shifts between teacher-led instruction, whole-class and small-group discussions, and independent student work.
Tools for Formative Assessment
Teachers can monitor the student's progress through the lessons with an at-a-glance view that shows which key sections of the lessons have been completed. Student reponses to key questions can be downloaded for formative feedback. The student essays can also be downloaded at anytime to check on progress, or for final evaluation. Students can only improve as writers and thinkers if they get feedback before their writing is final — at the draft stage. Zoom In helps you give timely feedback when it matters most.
